The project goal is to set up a distributed web-hosting infrastructure: it's Peer 2 Peer applied to web hosting.
This will give people and organisation a low cost alternative to dedicated server or colocation web hosting.
Services
The projet offers 3 main services
- A global server load balancing and failover system based on redondant DNS servers
- A Content Delivery Network (CDN) based on web caches
- A High Avaibility Web hosting solution based on web mirrors

Mediaport.net is the test web content distributed by the p2pweb.net web hosting infrastructure.
With more than 500 Mbyte and more than 15000 files, mediaport.net is a good example of web site we want to be able to host.
