Overview

The goal of this project is to create a toolbox making it possible to create a distributed Web hosting infrastructure. This infrastructure will be Peer to Peer: based on the mutual co-operation of the p2pweb members. The goal is to offer individuals and organization with significant web hosting needs, an alternative to the commercial web hosting solutions : dedicated servers or collocation.

The democratization of ADSL now allows each one to easily host a server "at home". But with a weak band-width and an unguaranteed availability.
The basic concept of the project is to share the resources (server and connectivity) of several people or entity, to build a more powerful and more reliable system.
